Ingredients

1000 ml (4 cups) of milk or unsweetened soy beverage)
160 ml (⅔ cup) oatmeal
4 medium carrots, raw, grated
60 ml (4 tablespoons) flax seeds, whole
40g collagen powder (optional)
20 ml (4 tsp.) brown sugar
20 ml (4 tsp.) cinnamon
10 ml (1 tsp.) nutmeg
10 ml (1 tsp.) vanilla extract
1 Pinch of salt
30 ml (2 tablespoon) dried grape
Preparation Time 10 min
Cooking Time 7 min
Serving 4

Preparation

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients except dried grapes and bring to the boil.
  2. Reduce heat to low and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. If you find the oatmeal too thick, add a little milk.
  3. Serve and garnish with dried grapes and cinnamon, if desired.

Notes

Keep for 3 days in the refrigerator. Can be frozen for up to 3 months. Collagen powder can be replaced by protein powder or 2 tbsp. Greek yogurt.
